Upgrade Your Vehicle With Heat Rejecting Window Tint

Have you entered your car on a hot summer day to find that the interior is like an oven? You should consider investing in heat-rejecting window tint. Heat-rejecting window tint is a specialized film designed to block a significant portion of the sun’s infrared heat from entering your vehicle. This type of window tint keeps your car cooler, especially during hot summer months, and also reduces the strain on your vehicle’s air conditioning system. This lessens the likelihood of costly AC repairs down the road and improves fuel efficiency.

Additionally, heat-rejecting window tint protects your interior from harmful UV rays, which can cause fading and deterioration over time.

Privacy and Security

UV Protection

High-quality tinted windows can block up to 99% of harmful UV rays. This added protection acts essentially as sunscreen for both you and the interior of your vehicle, as harmful rays can cause skin damage and accelerate the fading and deterioration of your vehicle’s interior.

Heat Reduction

As mentioned, one of the biggest benefits of window tinting is the heat-rejecting properties, which are designed to keep your vehicle cooler by reducing the amount of solar heat entering through the windows.

Glare Reduction

Tinting minimizes glare from the sun and headlights of other vehicles, reducing eye strain and improving driving safety. This allows for a more comfortable driving experience and better visibility on the road during the day.

Window Tinting FAQ

  • How long should you wait before rolling down your windows after tinting?

We recommend waiting at least 3 to 5 days before rolling down your windows to allow the tint to fully adhere and cure. If you roll your windows down before the tint has had time to properly cure, you risk damaging or destroying the film.

  • Will window tinting affect your visibility at night?

By definition, window tint blocks light, so it’s inevitable that the tint is going to slightly affect your night-driving visibility. That said, high-quality window tints are designed to reduce glare without significantly impacting night visibility. You’ll still be able to see clearly while enjoying the added privacy and UV protection during the day.

  • How long does a window tint last?

Our top-tier window tints can last anywhere from 5 to 10 years or even more, depending on factors like exposure to sunlight and weather conditions. Properly caring for your vehicle can extend the life of your tint.

Tennessee Window Tinting Laws and Regulations

In Tennessee, there are specific laws and regulations on the allowable darkness and reflectivity of your vehicle’s windows. The windshield must allow more than 70% Visible Light Transmission (VLT), meaning the tint must allow at least 70% of light to pass through. All front windows require a minimum of 35% Visible Light Transmission, but back windows can be as dark as you want. It’s important to note that you cannot install mirrored or metallic tints that create excessive reflectivity.

All of our window tinting packages adhere to Tennessee regulations, so you can rest assured that your vehicle will be street-legal.
